Economy Sediment Filter

Low-cost but effective filter for low-volume and low-risk applications.

  • Small and lightweight for easy storage & quick mobilisation
  • Filter holds 20kg of sediment for single person handling
  • Water discharged to Environment Agency accepted levels (100µm)
  • Designed for single use
  • Easy to attach, use and empty

There are no excuses for pumping dirty water onto the road or pavement and risking a costly fine. Our entry-level filter will fit all budgets and cleans water to Environment Agency accepted levels (100µm). The filter media is made from a non-woven geotextile.

Lightweight and easy to use it is suitable even for one-man jobs.

The Budget Filter is designed for capturing 20kg sediment before being replaced. This may equate to a single job or a small number of low usage jobs. When it becomes harder, or impossible, to pump water through, the filter is clogged

Sediment Filter

Stay compliant and on schedule with this rugged and reusable dewatering filter

  • Stay compliant and on schedule with this rugged and reusable dewatering filter.
  • Save £000s – no vacuum tankering required
Filter holds 20kg of sediment for single person handling
  • Simply empty and reuse up to 20 times
  • Water discharged to Environment Agency accepted levels (150µm)
  • Integral hydrocarbon detector alerts you to oil-based contaminants
  • Easy to attach, use and empty
  • Lifting straps for safe and easy handling
  • Highly visible colour to avoid trips
  • This filter will help you resolve dewatering challenges, avoiding the expensive clean-up costs of vacuum tankers and jetting vehicles, or fines from environmental regulators.

Constructed from a layered system of nylon monofilament for capturing sediment particles down to 150µm, and a PVC nylon outer sleeve tested for tensile strength and durability, this rugged filter is built to handle repeated use in harsh conditions.

This filter can be reused up to 20 times depending on the geology of the sediment being filtered. That’s 400kg sediment captured with a single filter.

Use a Green Rhino Manifold to harness four, six or eight filters to process large volumes of water without the delays or costs associated with vacuum tankers or sediment tanks.

The filter is made from high quality materials sourced from responsible suppliers, all being non-hazardous and not classified.

Oil & Sediment Dewatering Filter

The fast, effective way to dewater excavations contaminated with oil and/or sediment.

  • Save £000s – no vacuum tankering required
    Retains 2.5L of oil sheen
  • Filters 20kg of sediment for single person handling
  • Simply empty and reuse up to 20 times or until integral hydrocarbon detector turns dark blue
  • Water discharged to Environment Agency accepted levels (150µm)
  • Highly visible colour to avoid trips
  • This versatile filter cleans oil and sediment from contaminated water, avoiding the expensive clean-up costs of vacuum tankers and jetting vehicles, or fines from environmental regulators.

Our Oil & Sediment Filter is constructed from a multi-layered filter system of nylon monofilament for capturing sediment particles, and layers of polypropylene non-woven material for oil absorbency. With a PVC nylon outer sleeve tested for tensile strength and durability, this rugged filter is built to handle repeated use in harsh conditions.

The filter can be reused up to 20 times (400kg), depending on the geology of the sediment being filtered, or until the integral hydrocarbon detector turns dark blue – indicating that the filter has absorbed 2.5L oil.

Use a Green Rhino Manifold to harness four, six or eight filters to process large volumes of water without the delays or costs associated with vacuum tankers or sediment tanks.

The filter is made from high quality materials sourced from responsible suppliers, all being non-hazardous and not classified.

Who We Are

Who We Are

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd launched floodandwaterpumps.co.uk to make quality water pumps and expert advice easily accessible online. We have a large stock of water pumps which are available with next day delivery. Browse our shop to see the range of water pumps and flood pumps available. Whether you require pumps for flood water, draining construction sites or even for a water feature we have selected the best pumps available.

For a number of years, industry quality pumps were only accessible to trade customers, and domestic users were  left with generally poor-quality water pumps which often failed when used in anger. We have combined high-quality, reliable domestic and industrial pumps into one website which makes the best products available to all.

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd was founded in 2012, and has been supplying flood barriers, water pumps and consultancy services for the past 12 years. As part of our consultancy work, we extensively travel the UK, visiting homeowners, businesses and agencies to advise on flood protection schemes. We realised that too many people had previously purchased either the wrong type of water pump, or a poor quality one which did not perform the task well, and would not be reliable in service. Water pumps can be very important, and therefore you need the right type of pump and it need to be hard wearing.
