Evak Drainox Submersible Pumps – Heavy-Duty Site Drainage & Dewatering

The Evak Drainox range is designed for site drainage and dewatering, making it a reliable choice for demanding environments such as construction sites and dewatering. Built to perform in tough conditions, these pumps are widely used by contractors who need durable water pumps.

Built for Harsh Site Conditions

Drainox pumps are constructed using hard-wearing cast iron housings combined with stainless steel strainers, outer covers, and handles, delivering excellent resistance to impact and long-term wear. The pumps use a highly abrasion-resistant Hytrel® vortex impeller, designed to reduce wear when pumping water containing grit, silt, or suspended solids.

To assist with reliability and longevity, the pumps are fitted with a double mechanical seal with oil chamber, along with an auto-reset thermal protector to help protect the motor during demanding use.

Power & Voltage Options for the EVAK Drainox

The Drainox range is available in two power ratings:

  • Drainox 400 (400 watts)
  • Drainox 750 (750 watts)

Both models feature a 2” / 50mm discharge outlet and are available in multiple voltage options to suit different site requirements:

  • 110V – Manual or Automatic
  • 230V – Automatic only
  • 400V three-phase – Manual or Automatic

This flexibility makes the Drainox range suitable for everything from portable site use to permanent or semi-permanent installations.

Performance

Designed for effective site dewatering, the Drainox pumps deliver strong flow and head performance for pumping water out of excavations, trenches, and flooded areas.

The Drainox 400 provides a flow rate of up to 225 litres per minute with a maximum head of 11 metres, making it well suited to general site drainage and trench work.

For more demanding applications, the Drainox 750 increases output to up to 300 litres per minute and delivers an impressive 15-metre head, making it ideal for lifting water from deeper excavations or pumping over longer distances where higher pressure is required.

Both models are commonly used where resistance to abrasive liquids is required.

Designed for Continuous Operation

The Drainox pumps are water-cooled by the liquid being pumped, allowing them to operate for extended periods without overheating. For continuous operation, the pump should be selected and run close to the midpoint of its performance curve, helping to avoid cavitation, motor overload, and premature wear.

Typical Applications

  • Site drainage
  • Construction and civil engineering
  • Mining and tunnelling
  • Public works
  • Flood response
  • Contractor dewatering

Who We Are

Who We Are

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd launched floodandwaterpumps.co.uk to make quality water pumps and expert advice easily accessible online. We have a large stock of water pumps which are available with next day delivery. Browse our shop to see the range of water pumps and flood pumps available. Whether you require pumps for flood water, draining construction sites or even for a water feature we have selected the best pumps available.

For a number of years, industry quality pumps were only accessible to trade customers, and domestic users were  left with generally poor-quality water pumps which often failed when used in anger. We have combined high-quality, reliable domestic and industrial pumps into one website which makes the best products available to all.

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd was founded in 2012, and has been supplying flood barriers, water pumps and consultancy services for the past 12 years. As part of our consultancy work, we extensively travel the UK, visiting homeowners, businesses and agencies to advise on flood protection schemes. We realised that too many people had previously purchased either the wrong type of water pump, or a poor quality one which did not perform the task well, and would not be reliable in service. Water pumps can be very important, and therefore you need the right type of pump and it need to be hard wearing.
