FloodMate Kits are a complete package of emergency pumping equipment, capable of protecting properties from low-level flooding.

They include a powerful pump, HydroSacks and discharge hoses. Depending on the chosen kit, the pump can reduce water levels to as low as 3mm or even 1mm.

The lightweight hoses are easy to position and feature quick-connect fittings for rapid deployment during emergencies.

The whole kit is packaged in a small, lightweight carry case for easy transportation and storage.

What is the FloodMate kit for?

FloodMate is an emergency kit for defending a property from low-level flooding. Each kit has a pump, HydroSacks to hold water back, two 10m hose kits and a carry case. Depending on the kit, the pump lowers water to as little as 3mm or 1mm, with FloodMate 2 reaching 1mm.

Which FloodMate kit should I choose?

FloodMate 1 has a 230V BPS100 pump (3.5kg) that needs no priming but must not run dry. FloodMate 2 has a 230V LSC1.4S pump (13.7kg) that pumps down to 1mm and can run dry for long periods, such as overnight, but needs priming with water before starting. FloodMate 3 (WX10, pumps to 3mm) and FloodMate 4 (lighter TEM-25H) have Honda engines for use without electricity; FloodMate 3 also needs priming first.

What comes in a FloodMate kit?

Every kit has the pump, HydroSacks, a Phase 1 hose kit (10m of 25mm non-kink hose), a Phase 2 hose kit (10m of 25mm layflat hose), both with quick release connectors, and a carry case of 400 x 600 x 420mm. The electric kits include 10m of power cable and a plug. The engine kits also include a 4m suction hose and a low-level suction tool.

How much water does a FloodMate pump move?

With the 25mm hose over about 30 metres, FloodMate 1 moves roughly 40 litres per minute on level ground, FloodMate 2 roughly 70 litres per minute and FloodMate 3 roughly 80 litres per minute, the last two with a 1 metre incline. FloodMate 4 has the same engine as FloodMate 3. Longer runs or steeper lifts reduce the flow.

What size generator do I need for a FloodMate kit?

For FloodMate 1, the generator must cover the BPS100 pump uptake of about 220 watts. For FloodMate 2, the LSC1.4S uptake is about 590 watts, and a 3 kVA generator is recommended for the LSC1.4S. If you have no electricity at all, FloodMate 3 and 4 have Honda petrol engines and need no power supply.
