Tsurumi is the Japanese manufacturer behind the iconic LSC puddle pump, the LB contractor range, and some of the most durable submersible drainage pumps made anywhere in the world. Flood & Water Pumps have been a UK distributor of Tsurumi since 2012, supplying domestic customers alongside Thames Water, the NHS, and the Environment Agency. Our full Tsurumi range is below.
Tsurumi was founded in Japan in 1953 and now supplies pumps to 45 countries worldwide. The company holds the largest global market share of any pump manufacturer, a position built on one thing: durability.
Tsurumi pumps are manufactured to ISO-certified standards using top-grade materials, and every electric pump carries a 3-year warranty as standard.
The name is hard to pronounce for a British audience (think "sroomi") but it is a name that professional specifiers across construction, utilities, and hire know well.
The Tsurumi LSC1.4S Puddle Pump in particular has become an industry-standard low-level pump for flood control and dewatering in the UK.
The deeper read: what's in this range, how to pick, and when to talk to us before you buy.
Tsurumi's UK range splits across four clear families, each built for a different job.
Puddle Pumps
The LSC1.4S and LSC2.75S are the reference-standard UK puddle pumps, used by hire fleets, water companies, and utilities. Both pump down to 1mm and can operate for extended periods with minimal water. Choose manual for attended flood response, automatic for unattended basements and lift shafts.
Submersible Drainage & Site Pumps
The LB range (LB480, LB800, LB1500) is the Tsurumi contractor pump, built to run continuously in silt, sand, and site water.
The HS range is the higher-flow site pump with excellent wear resistance.
For narrow chambers, the POMA5 automatic and OM5 compact submersibles are the go-to.
For sewage and dirty water, the 50PNI2 auto drainage pump handles fibrous materials with a glass-fibre vortex impeller.
Engine Driven Pumps
The TE petrol range offers self-priming centrifugal pumps for site use.
The TDS adds higher flow through a larger bore.
The TEF and TEW are high-pressure pumps suited to firefighting, agriculture, and dust suppression.
The TD is a petrol diaphragm trash pump.
Specialist Pumps
The NK is a high-head single-phase drainage pump for large flows at pressure. The HSD2.55S has an agitator and chromium-iron impeller for sludge and solids. The 80SFQ and SQ2-2 are 316 and 304 stainless steel pumps for aggressive liquids, saltwater, food processing, and aquaculture. The Poly range is a purpose-built chemical and seawater centrifugal.
Flood & Water Pumps began stocking Tsurumi in 2012. Over the years since, we have found them to be exceptionally low-maintenance in service, the kind of pump a customer installs and does not think about again for years. That matters. Our domestic customers get reliability they can trust in a flood, and our trade customers get a pump that survives the fleet.
Tsurumi's manufacturing is ISO-certified and every electric pump is covered by a 3-year warranty. The range covers flood resilience, construction, mining, tunnelling, and general industrial drainage, which is why the same pump appears in a homeowner's basement and on a major utility project.
We hold Tsurumi stock in our Nottingham warehouse for next-day delivery across the UK. Every pump is tested before it leaves us, and our technical team can help specify the right model for your project.
For custom site drainage calculations or larger scheme design, our sister company FPS Environmental Ltd can help.
