5. Our Contract With You

When you place an order via this website, you are making an offer to purchase goods.

We will acknowledge receipt of your order by email or telephone. A contract is formed only once we have confirmed dispatch or otherwise confirmed acceptance.

If we are unable to accept your order, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and issue a refund where applicable.

6. Consumer Right of Cancellation

This section applies to consumers only.

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery by providing written notice to enquiries@floodprotectionsolutions.co.uk.

Returned goods must be unused, undamaged and in their original packaging, and must be returned within 14 days of cancellation at your own cost.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receipt of returned goods using the original payment method.

Original delivery charges may be deducted. Next day delivery charges are non-refundable.

Goods that have been used, installed, operated or are otherwise not resellable cannot be refunded.

If goods are not resellable solely due to damaged packaging, a restocking charge of up to 20 percent may apply.

Special-order or non-stock items may incur a minimum 30 percent restocking charge. Bespoke or custom-built items cannot be returned.

7. Damaged, Short or Incorrect Deliveries

Any damage, shortages or incorrect items must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.

Where applicable, courier documentation should be marked "arrived damaged".

We will arrange inspection, collection, replacement or refund as appropriate.

8. Use of Goods

You must follow all operating instructions supplied with the product.

If instructions are missing or unclear, you must contact us before use.

Using equipment outside its intended duty, including incorrect pump selection or operation outside recommended operating ranges, may result in failure and will invalidate warranty coverage.

Off and on level values provided are indicative only.

9. Warranty and Returns

Warranty terms are set out on our separate Warranty page, which forms part of these Terms.

In summary:

  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects only
  • Fair wear and tear, misuse, incorrect application or unauthorised modification are excluded
  • Repair is the first course of action, followed by replacement where repair is not possible
  • Refunds are not provided under warranty

Warranty claims must follow the published warranty process. Warranty claims are not handled by telephone.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Pricing and Availability

We aim to keep pricing and availability accurate, but errors may occur.

If a pricing error is identified before dispatch, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed or cancel.

Stock availability may vary. Where an item is unavailable, we will notify you and offer a refund or estimated lead time.

11. Procurement Assurance and SSIP Compliance

Floodandwaterpumps.co.uk supplies goods on the basis of a standard product supply purchase.

Where applicable, this includes procurement assurance under Flood Protection Solutions Ltd's SSIP accreditations, including CHAS and PQS. This provides assurance that goods are supplied in accordance with recognised health and safety and supplier assurance standards.

The prices quoted through this website are based on this standard level of procurement assurance only.

If a customer requires additional supplier questionnaires, compliance portals, project-specific forms, contractual amendments or non-standard administrative requirements, these are not included as standard. Where such requirements are requested, we reserve the right to assess the complexity and time involved and to issue a revised quotation that includes an additional administration charge before proceeding.

12. Delivery

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout.

We aim to dispatch in-stock items promptly. Next working day delivery is not guaranteed.

Where a next day delivery service is selected, goods will be dispatched using a next day courier service. Courier delays are outside our control and do not entitle the customer to a refund of delivery charges.

Provided goods are delivered, no refund is offered for late delivery.

13. Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards.

Payment must be made in full before dispatch.

Only UK registered payment cards may be used.

For telephone orders, billing and delivery addresses must match.

14. Complaints

If you wish to raise a complaint, please complete our complaints form with full details.

We investigate complaints objectively and in line with these Terms.

Abusive or aggressive behaviour towards our team will not be tolerated.

15. Liability

We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of use or business interruption.

Our total liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
