Available in 10m, 15m and 25m coils.
Key Benefits
- Kink resistant: double layered PVC construction holds bore around bends
- High working pressure: up to 10 bar on smaller sizes, well above standard delivery hose
- Food and drinking water safe: suitable for potable water transfer and irrigation
- UV resistant: stable in prolonged outdoor use without degradation
- Abrasion resistant: handles being dragged across fields, gravel, and rough ground
- Highly flexible: easier to coil and handle than rigid alternatives
- Distinctive yellow PVC: easy to spot in working environments
Typical Applications
High pressure delivery hose is the go-to choice anywhere water has to be moved at pressure or where a standard delivery hose would not cope:
- Agricultural and horticultural irrigation systems
- Crop spraying and pesticide application water lines
- Pressure washing supply lines
- Drinking water transfer for livestock, allotments, and outdoor events
- Long discharge runs from high head pumps where pressure exceeds 4 bar
- Rainwater harvesting distribution
- Booster pump installations
When to Choose High Pressure Hose Over Layflat or Suction & Delivery
The deciding factor is pressure. Layflat hose is rated 3 to 4 bar; suction and delivery is rated 3 to 7 bar; high pressure delivery handles 5 to 10 bar. If your pump's maximum head exceeds 40 metres (4 bar equivalent) and you are running on a smaller bore, high pressure hose is the safe choice. It is also the only hose in our range certified food and drinking water safe, which makes it the default for any potable water duty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do smaller hoses have higher pressure ratings?
It seems counter-intuitive, but it is straightforward physics. Pressure pushes outwards on every part of the hose wall, and the larger the bore, the larger the surface area that pressure acts on. A bigger hose has more total force trying to burst it, so the same wall material can hold less pressure. That is why our ½" high pressure hose is rated to 10 bar but the 2" size is rated to 5 bar, despite being made from the same PVC compound.
Is high pressure hose UV resistant?
Yes. It is stabilised for outdoor use and resists ultra-violet degradation, which is why it is the standard choice for permanent or semi-permanent irrigation installations exposed to sunlight.
What size high pressure hose do I need?
Match the hose internal diameter to your pump or tap outlet, then check the working pressure exceeds your pump's maximum head divided by ten.
