Braided Hose
Key Benefits
- Clear PVC walls: full visual inspection of flow
- Polyester reinforced: high working pressure for its size
- Flexible: easy to route around fittings, equipment, and tight spaces
- Suction and delivery rated: works on both the inlet and outlet sides of pumps
- Smooth bore: minimal friction loss and easy to clean
- Lightweight: simple to handle and reposition
Typical Applications
Braided hose is chosen wherever flow visibility, hygiene, or lab-grade clarity matters:
- Laboratory and research equipment water lines
- Food and beverage production water transfer
- Aquaculture and fish keeping (filtration, water changes, life support systems)
- Water feature and ornamental pond installations
- Hydroponic and indoor growing systems
- Booster pump and pressure system installations where flow inspection is required
- Domestic plumbing extensions and washing machine supply
- Any application where air locks, blockages, or contamination need to be visible
Frequently Asked Questions
Can braided hose be used on the suction side of a pump?
Yes. Polyester braid reinforcement holds the bore open under vacuum, so it works on both suction and delivery sides. For larger bore suction work or buried installations, suction and delivery hose is more appropriate.
Can braided hose be used outdoors?
Yes for short term, but it is not specifically UV stabilised. For permanent outdoor installations, choose high pressure delivery hose, which is UV resistant.
Why is braided hose clear?
The clear PVC compound makes the hose transparent, so you can see flow, air locks, debris, and blockages at a glance. This visibility is the main reason customers choose braided over other hose types.
