This product listing is the manual Tsurumi LSC1.4S. It starts when the electrical supply is switched on and stops when the power is switched off.
It does not include a float switch, water sensor or automatic control panel. This gives the operator direct control and allows the pump to continue working at very low water levels.
The manual version should be monitored during use and switched off once pumping is complete.

The Tsurumi LSC1.4S from Flood & Water Pumps is widely regarded as one of the leading professional manual puddle pumps for floodwater and surface-water removal.
It combines a maximum flow rate of 170 litres per minute with the ability to pump down to approximately 1mm. Its robust construction, built-in non-return valve and top-discharge cooling arrangement also make it well suited to repeated use by contractors, utilities, hire fleets and flood-response teams.

The specially designed bottom plate allows water to enter the pump at an extremely low level. For the best result, the pump should be placed on a reasonably flat surface with a clear route for water to reach the inlet.
The final residual depth may vary where the floor is uneven, debris obstructs the inlet or water is trapped within isolated hollows.

Maximum flow and maximum head occur at different points on the pump curve. The actual flow will depend on the vertical pumping height, hose diameter, hose length, bends, fittings and other resistance within the discharge arrangement.
The LSC1.4S is suitable for drainage water and typical floodwater containing sand, silt and small suspended material. It can handle solids up to approximately 5mm.
It is not intended for raw sewage, heavily contaminated water or water containing large stones, leaves or fibrous material.
Yes. An integral non-return valve helps prevent water held within the discharge hose from flowing back through the pump when it is switched off.
This is particularly useful during low-level drainage, cellars or basements, because returning hose water could otherwise refill part of the area that has just been pumped dry.
Yes. The discharge outlet can be positioned horizontally or vertically to suit the installation and hose route.
Choosing the most suitable outlet position can reduce hose kinking and help maintain flow where the hose must travel upwards, around equipment or beneath an obstruction.
Yes. Its top-discharge design creates an air and water-cooling route around the motor, allowing the pump to operate for extended periods in shallow and seepage-water conditions.
The pump should not be deliberately left running dry for prolonged periods. It should be switched off once water is no longer reaching the inlet.

Choose the automatic LSC1.4S where the pump needs to respond to changing water levels without someone being present to switch it on and off. The automatic version is more appropriate for fixed drainage systems, narrow sumps, lift shafts and recurring water ingress.

The Tsurumi LSC1.4S is supplied with a 25mm outlet as standard. A 50mm outlet option can be selected when ordering.
A larger-diameter hose generally creates less friction resistance, particularly over longer distances. The best outlet size will depend on the required hose route, storage space and the flow needed at the actual pumping height.
