WHY IT WORKS

Built for the job

Tsurumi LB-1500 Submersible Contractor Pump

The heavy-duty 1.5kW pump for high-output, high-head site drainage.

The Tsurumi LB1500 is the most powerful model in the LB Series, built for the toughest, highest-volume dewatering jobs. With the strongest flow and head in the range and a robust 32.5kg build, it's the choice for demanding construction, utilities and flood-defence applications where a smaller pump simply won't keep up.

Performance you can rely on

  • Power: 1.5kW (230V single-phase)
  • Max flow: 420 L/min
  • Max head: 17.5m
  • Discharge outlet: 50mm fixed vertical discharge for maximum strength and performance
  • Free passage: 6mm solids

Built to last in dirty water

Like the rest of the LB Series, the LB1500 uses a semi-vortex chromium-iron impeller, double silicon-carbide mechanical seal and Tsurumi's oil-lifter system for seal lubrication in any position. Rubber and urethane components resist abrasion from sand, silt and suspended solids, while the top-discharge design keeps the motor cool during extended operation.

Manual only

The LB1500 is supplied as a manual pump (no automatic float/sensor version), giving the operator full control for heavy-duty continuous dewatering.

HOW-TO

How-to videos

What is the Difference between a Manual & Automatic Water Pump?

Manual Pump - A pump that does not have a float control or pressure switch to start and stop. It will require an operator to control it.

Automatic Pump - A pump that has a float control or pressure switch to start and stop without an operator.

A float switch is a level controller that has a buoyant, water-tight device that lies
on a liquid, actuating a micro-switch when the level rises or falls, turning a pump on or off.

Which Hose Should I use with my Water Pump?

Layflat hose is very affordable but can kink. Depending on your use, you may be better using a reinforced suction delivery hose for your needs.

Suction delivery hose is ideal for pumping up stairs or over obstacles.

Jonathan Martin explains the differences to help you choose which hose is best for your scenario.
