Our 50mm (2 inch) layflat hose is the discharge size we sell most, because 2 inch is the outlet fitted to the majority of site dewatering submersibles and flood response pumps. At 0.22 kg per metre, a full 100m coil weighs about as much as a bag of cement, so one operative can run discharge from an excavation to an outfall that a rigid hose would need two people and several joins to reach.
The yarn reinforced PVC wall handles 3.5 bar, comfortably within the head produced by typical 2 inch site pumps, and the hose drags cleanly over grass, hardstanding and mud. When the pumping stops it rolls flat for the van, taking a fraction of the rack space of rigid hose. For the suction side of surface pumps, or discharge runs that must be buried or bent hard, use our 50mm suction and delivery hose. Coils from 6m to 100m.
Lay flat hose has a maximum working temperature of 60° and a minimum of -15°C
An elbow hose tail can help reduce kinking on vertical discharge water pumps.
