Tsurumi HS3.75S Submersible Site Drainage Pump | High-Flow 3 Inch

The Tsurumi HS3.75S is the high-flow model in the HS range. It uses the same 750W motor and 18m head as the HS2.75S, but discharges through a larger 3 inch (80mm) outlet, lifting its flow to up to 310 litres per minute. The bigger outlet also means lower friction loss, so it keeps more of that flow over long hose runs, making it the choice for moving large volumes of water across a site fast.

Built to last in demanding environments

The HS3.75S shares the HS range's rugged build: a ductile iron pump casing, cast aluminium motor frame and head cover, a wear-resistant urethane semi-vortex impeller, a 410S stainless steel shaft, a PVC strainer base and a double mechanical seal. A 7mm free passage handles dirty water carrying silt, sand and suspended solids.

Oil lifter for longer seal life

As a 750W model, the HS3.75S features Tsurumi's oil lifter system, which keeps the shaft seal continuously lubricated even at low water level or partial submersion, extending seal and pump life on long-running dewatering jobs.

Manual or automatic

Available as a manual pump or with an automatic pendant float switch in a waterproof, ball-bearing actuated housing. The HS3.75S automatic switches on at approximately 430mm and off at approximately 50mm.

Tsurumi HS2.4S vs HS2.75S vs HS3.75S

All three share the same rugged HS build, urethane semi-vortex impeller and 7mm free passage. The right one depends on flow, head and outlet size.

HS2.4S: 2 inch, 205 L/min, 12m head, 400W, 11.3kg. The compact, lightest model, and the only one that takes the puddle pump adaptor.

Common questions

Can the Tsurumi HS3.75S pump dirty water or sewage?

It pumps dirty site water, not sewage. The HS3.75S is built for rainwater, groundwater and sand-carrying water, with a 7mm free passage for silt, sand and suspended solids and a water temperature range of 0 to 40°C. Its urethane impeller and stirrer resist wear and blockage. It is not designed for sewage, toilet waste, stringy or fibrous solids, or flammable liquids.

When does the automatic HS3.75S switch on and off?

The automatic HS3.75S uses a Pendant float switch that switches on at about 430mm and off at about 50mm. The float sits in a waterproof case with a ball-bearing switch, and its cable is clamped to the pump with a little adjustment to alter those levels. The manual version runs until you switch it off.

How much water will the HS3.75S pump through 100 metres of hose?

About 285 litres per minute through 100m of layflat hose at a 2m lift, as a guide. The same guide gives about 295 litres per minute through 25m, 290 through 50m and 272 through 200m, against a maximum of 310 litres per minute, so its 3 inch outlet holds flow well over distance. Maximum head is 18 metres.

What size generator or transformer do I need for the HS3.75S?

Allow at least a 4 kVA generator, or a 4 kVA transformer for the 110V version. Choose 110V for construction sites on transformer power and 230V for a standard UK supply; both come as manual or automatic. Check the generator's voltage and frequency match the pump, as generators can be inaccurate and low voltage can trip the motor's thermal protection.

What hose and fittings should I order with the HS3.75S?

Order 3 inch hose and a matching clamp. The HS3.75S comes with a hose tail, so use 3 inch layflat (76mm bore) for discharge runs or 3 inch suction and delivery hose where you need a rigid line, plus a hose clamp in the 80 to 85mm size for 3 inch layflat and suction hose.
