Cast iron peripheral pump for light industrial circulation and boosting.

The Speroni Pumps KP(M) range are cast iron peripheral pumps for light industrial circulation and boosting applications. Peripheral pumps are small, compact, and produce high head from modest motors. They are a common pump choice for light industrial loops, boiler feed from stored water, and any application where you need pressure more than you need flow.

This listing covers the two 230V single-phase models: KPM50 (0.37kW) and KPM80 (0.6kW).

The 400V three-phase equivalents (KP50 and KP80) are supplied to the same specification.

All models have a 1" inlet and 1" outlet.

Where the Speroni KP and KPM Pumps are Used

  • Pressure boosting from a stored water tank (non-potable use).
  • Light industrial circulation loops.
  • Boiler feed from stored water (not direct mains).
  • Small washdown applications.
  • Non-potable welfare units and mobile accommodation.

The KPM is not self-priming. The water source must be above the pump, or the suction line must be primed with a foot valve.

For applications where the pump sits above the water source, the AKM60 is the self-priming equivalent.

Choosing Between KP50, KPM50, KP80 and KPM80

  • An M at the end of the model name means 230V single-phase KPM50, KPM80.
  • No M means 400V three-phase KP50 and KP80.

The KP(M)80 is the more common specification.

The KP(M)50 is for smaller applications or where only light duty is required.

How KPM Differs from KFM

The KFM and KPM are both cast iron peripheral pumps from Speroni with similar performance.

The difference is the pump body design.

  • The KPM has a simpler internal layout and is often the cost-effective choice for general use.
  • The KFM has a brass pump body cover and is more common in industrial and boiler feed applications.

Optional Accessories

A pressure controller adds dry-run protection and automatic start/stop on demand.

Important: WRAS Approval

This pump is not WRAS approved and is not for drinking water supply. It is suitable for irrigation, sprinklers, fire systems, rainwater harvesting, cooling loops, and industrial or agricultural water.

Who We Are

Who We Are

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd launched floodandwaterpumps.co.uk to make quality water pumps and expert advice easily accessible online. We have a large stock of water pumps which are available with next day delivery. Browse our shop to see the range of water pumps and flood pumps available. Whether you require pumps for flood water, draining construction sites or even for a water feature we have selected the best pumps available.

For a number of years, industry quality pumps were only accessible to trade customers, and domestic users were  left with generally poor-quality water pumps which often failed when used in anger. We have combined high-quality, reliable domestic and industrial pumps into one website which makes the best products available to all.

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd was founded in 2012, and has been supplying flood barriers, water pumps and consultancy services for the past 12 years. As part of our consultancy work, we extensively travel the UK, visiting homeowners, businesses and agencies to advise on flood protection schemes. We realised that too many people had previously purchased either the wrong type of water pump, or a poor quality one which did not perform the task well, and would not be reliable in service. Water pumps can be very important, and therefore you need the right type of pump and it need to be hard wearing.
