Tsurumi HS Series – Reliable Submersible Drainage Pumps for Tough Site Conditions

The Tsurumi HS Series, manufactured by Tsurumi Pumps is one of the most trusted ranges of submersible drainage pumps on the market, engineered for reliability in challenging environments. Designed for hire fleets, utilities, construction sites, dewatering tasks, water features and fixed installations, these pumps offer exceptional durability and performance backed by a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The HS Series includes three single-phase models with two motor sizes, available in both manual and automatic versions:

  • HS2.4S – 400W
  • HS2.75S – 750W
  • HS3.75S – 750W with 80mm outlet

With models in 50mm and 80mm discharge sizes, the HS range offers a solution for both compact drainage tasks and high-volume pumping.

Built to Last in Demanding Environments

Tsurumi has engineered the HS Series using robust, impact-resistant materials to ensure long service life:

  • Pump casing: Ductile iron
  • Motor frame & head cover: Cast aluminium
  • Impeller: Urethane semi-vortex for excellent wear resistance
  • Shaft: 403 stainless steel
  • Strainer base: PVC, designed to withstand knocks on site
  • Seal: Double mechanical seal for long-term reliability

These features make the HS pumps ideal for handling dirty water with silt, sand, and suspended solids. All models benefit from a 7mm free passage, reducing the risk of blockages and maintaining consistent performance on demanding sites.

High Performance for Site Dewatering & Long-Distance Pumping

Despite their compact design, the HS pumps deliver impressive flow and head performance:

  • HS2.4S: Up to 205 L/min with 12m head
  • HS2.75S: Up to 230 L/min with 18m head
  • HS3.75S: Up to 310 L/min with 18m head (80mm outlet for reduced friction loss)

These performance levels make the HS Series ideal for pumping out foundations, moving water across large sites, and achieving effective drainage over long distances.

All 750W models include Tsurumi’s oil lifter system, ensuring continuous lubrication of the shaft seal for enhanced longevity.

Optional Puddle Pump Adaptor Kit for the Tsurumi HS2.4S Manual

For added versatility, the Puddle Pump Adaptor Kit can convert the HS2.4S manual model into a puddle sucker. This simple, easy-fit accessory enables pumping down to 10mm, allowing users to remove almost all standing water. The kit includes a rubber-coated steel plate, plus stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers.

Automatic Models for Water Level Control

Automatic HS models are fitted with a pendant float switch, enclosed in a durable waterproof housing with a ball-bearing activated mechanism. This setup suits both portable and fixed installations.

Approximate Off and On levels:

  • HS2.4S Auto:
    • ON: ~360mm
    • OFF: ~100mm
  • HS2.75S & HS3.75S Auto:
    • ON: ~430mm
    • OFF: ~50mm

Who We Are

Who We Are

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd launched floodandwaterpumps.co.uk to make quality water pumps and expert advice easily accessible online. We have a large stock of water pumps which are available with next day delivery. Browse our shop to see the range of water pumps and flood pumps available. Whether you require pumps for flood water, draining construction sites or even for a water feature we have selected the best pumps available.

For a number of years, industry quality pumps were only accessible to trade customers, and domestic users were  left with generally poor-quality water pumps which often failed when used in anger. We have combined high-quality, reliable domestic and industrial pumps into one website which makes the best products available to all.

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd was founded in 2012, and has been supplying flood barriers, water pumps and consultancy services for the past 12 years. As part of our consultancy work, we extensively travel the UK, visiting homeowners, businesses and agencies to advise on flood protection schemes. We realised that too many people had previously purchased either the wrong type of water pump, or a poor quality one which did not perform the task well, and would not be reliable in service. Water pumps can be very important, and therefore you need the right type of pump and it need to be hard wearing.
