Pumps for Water Features

A water feature can be a lovely addition to any garden or landscaping. The tranquil sound of running or gurgling water can create a relaxing atmosphere.

Ever since ancient times, humans have used water for its healing properties. We still use water for its calming properties; we holiday by the sea, and enjoy activities such as fishing, swimming and sailing. We visit spas and reinvigorate ourselves with soothing baths or showers. Adding a water feature into your garden can make the space more calming, as well as offering a lovely focal point. Whether you have a compact garden, or are landscaping a large site and installing a powerful fountain – we have the product for you.

A water feature requires a pump which is specially designed for continuous 24-7 running. Standard pumps will simply burn out under this intense use, or fail often and need replacing very regularly. Alongside this a pond may have debris in with fish waste or plant matter, and a pump which can cope with this is required.

As well as offering a sense of calm, a pond can also emphasise the sense of space as it reflects the light from the sky, and offers depth to the garden. With ponds, it is important to prevent them from stagnating, and therefore a pump which provides circulation Is recommended. The SMP Swimming Pool Pump would be ideal in this situation to help prevent stagnation occurring.

TPS Submersible Pond Water Pump

A water feature may be much more affordable than you imagine. Our range starts from just £85.36+vat with the fantastic TPS Submersible Pond Water Pump which is perfect for constant running situations. This is also a multi-purpose pump that can be used in sumps, providing added value. We highly recommend the TPS pump for your garden water feature. These are manufactured by APP Pumps with longevity in mind.

We also supply the MH Pump by APP Pumps which is perfect for ponds as it is available with fountain heads to provide your desired effect. The MH Pump is compact, but specially designed so that clogging is unlikely and it is ideal where there is fish waste or vegetation.

If your water feature is inspired by the likes of the Emperor’s Fountain at Chatsworth then we also supply a very powerful water pump for large water features. The HD-15 Pump has a flow rate of a huge 830 litres/min.

If you are replacing an existing water pump in your water feature, one of our water pumps should be suitable. We recommend checking the inlet/outlet pipe sizes to see if these may also need replacing, and checking the specification of your existing pump. You are then able to choose the most suitable one from our range.
