Tsurumi LSC 1.4S Puddle Pump – Ultra‑Low Level Control

The Tsurumi LSC 1.4S Automatic puddle pump combines ultra‑low level pumping performance with intelligent sensor control. Designed for surface water removal on flat areas, the automatic version can pump down to around 5 mm as standard, or circa 1 mm when used with optional sensor extension probes.

Like all LSC pumps, it is manufactured by Tsurumi Pumps and supplied with a 3‑year product guarantee.

Why choose the Tsurumi LSC 1.4S Automatic pump

The automatic LSC 1.4S is the ideal solution where unattended operation is required. Using probe‑based level detection rather than a traditional float switch, it is particularly well suited to narrow spaces, shallow water levels and fixed installations. The sensor system ensures reliable activation while maintaining extremely low pumping levels.

Common Applications

  • Fixed installations
  • Flood control systems
  • Construction sites
  • Lift shafts and service pits
  • Utilities and infrastructure projects
  • Narrow sumps and surface water control

Construction and Build Quality

Built for demanding environments, the LSC 1.4S Automatic features a pressed steel outer casing with a cast aluminium pump stand for long‑term durability. The dual‑position discharge outlet allows the hose to be connected vertically or horizontally to suit site constraints.

A built‑in non‑return valve prevents backflow through the discharge hose, while the cleverly designed air and water cooling route enables extended operation at very low water levels (note: the pump should not be run dry for prolonged periods).

How to Attach a Hose to a Water Pump

Floodandwaterpumps.co.uk has been specially designed to simplify the types of pumps into categories to make choosing the best pump for your requirements easy.

We are often asked how to attach the hose to a pump, and have created this 'how-to' video to demonstrate. The pump and accessories listed are all available at floodandwaterpumps.co.uk

Which Hose Should I use with my Water Pump?

Layflat hose is very affordable but can kink. Depending on your use, you may be better using a reinforced suction delivery hose for your needs.

Suction delivery hose is ideal for pumping up stairs or over obstacles.

Jonathan Martin explains the differences to help you choose which hose is best for your scenario.

What are Sensor Extension Probes?

As an optional extra, extension probes are available for the Auto Sensor model, which enable pumping down between 85mm and circa 1mm. The extensions are an optional extra and available here:170mm Sensor Extension Probes.

Who We Are

Who We Are

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd launched floodandwaterpumps.co.uk to make quality water pumps and expert advice easily accessible online. We have a large stock of water pumps which are available with next day delivery. Browse our shop to see the range of water pumps and flood pumps available. Whether you require pumps for flood water, draining construction sites or even for a water feature we have selected the best pumps available.

For a number of years, industry quality pumps were only accessible to trade customers, and domestic users were  left with generally poor-quality water pumps which often failed when used in anger. We have combined high-quality, reliable domestic and industrial pumps into one website which makes the best products available to all.

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd was founded in 2012, and has been supplying flood barriers, water pumps and consultancy services for the past 12 years. As part of our consultancy work, we extensively travel the UK, visiting homeowners, businesses and agencies to advise on flood protection schemes. We realised that too many people had previously purchased either the wrong type of water pump, or a poor quality one which did not perform the task well, and would not be reliable in service. Water pumps can be very important, and therefore you need the right type of pump and it need to be hard wearing.
