Speroni CMX Stainless Steel Centrifugal Pump | Single Impeller Surface Pump for Irrigation and Pressurisation

The Speroni CMX is a single impeller centrifugal pump with an all stainless steel AISI 304 wetted assembly, built for domestic, agricultural and light industrial water duties. The stainless construction extends pump life where the water source is harder, exposed to weather, or where the pump will see hot water up to 90°C. Available across CMX 60/0.37, CMX 60/0.75 and CMX 100/1.1 single phase, and CX 60/0.75 and CX 100/1.1 three phase.

What is the Speroni CMX pump used for?

•    Automatic water distribution from small and medium tanks
•    Sprinkler and flood irrigation in gardens and agriculture
•    Boosting mains pressure in domestic and agricultural systems
•    Light industrial water transfer
•    Hot water transfer up to 90°C
•    Pressurisation behind small pressure tanks or autoclave units

Construction and Durability

The CMX has a stainless steel AISI 304 pump body, AISI 304 impeller and AISI 304 shaft, with an aluminium motor support that keeps the unit light and balanced. The mechanical seal is silicon, silicon and Viton, which gives a robust seal pairing that copes with hotter water and harder water duties than the standard ceramic and graphite arrangement on cast iron Speroni centrifugals. The motor is a two pole induction unit running at 2,850 rpm with Class F insulation and IP55 protection, suitable for continuous duty. It is rated for liquid temperatures up to 90°C, considerably higher than typical garden pumps.

Why choose the Speroni CMX?

Where a cast iron centrifugal would risk corrosion or staining, the stainless steel CMX delivers cleaner, longer life pumping. The Silicon / Silicon / Viton seal handles hotter water and lighter mineral content without rapid wear, and the IP55 motor with continuous duty rating means the pump can work all day on irrigation, pressurisation or transfer duties. With three power steps from 0.37 kW to 1.1 kW and both single and three phase options, the CMX covers small garden pressurising right through to larger agricultural transfer.

Not Self-Priming

The CMX is not self-priming. It needs flooded suction, meaning the water source must be above or at the same level as the pump inlet. If the pump must sit above the water source, the suction pipe has to be primed manually and fitted with a foot valve to hold prime between runs. Max suction lift with a foot valve is 7 metres.

Important: WRAS Approval

This pump is not WRAS approved and is not for drinking water supply. It is suitable for irrigation, sprinklers, fire systems, rainwater harvesting, cooling loops, and industrial or agricultural water.

Who We Are

Who We Are

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd launched floodandwaterpumps.co.uk to make quality water pumps and expert advice easily accessible online. We have a large stock of water pumps which are available with next day delivery. Browse our shop to see the range of water pumps and flood pumps available. Whether you require pumps for flood water, draining construction sites or even for a water feature we have selected the best pumps available.

For a number of years, industry quality pumps were only accessible to trade customers, and domestic users were  left with generally poor-quality water pumps which often failed when used in anger. We have combined high-quality, reliable domestic and industrial pumps into one website which makes the best products available to all.

Flood Protection Solutions Ltd was founded in 2012, and has been supplying flood barriers, water pumps and consultancy services for the past 12 years. As part of our consultancy work, we extensively travel the UK, visiting homeowners, businesses and agencies to advise on flood protection schemes. We realised that too many people had previously purchased either the wrong type of water pump, or a poor quality one which did not perform the task well, and would not be reliable in service. Water pumps can be very important, and therefore you need the right type of pump and it need to be hard wearing.
