Lightweight Single-Phase Submersible Pump for Sand-Carrying Water, Sludge and Bentonite

The Tsurumi HSD2.55S is a robust, lightweight single-phase drainage pump designed for pumping sand-carrying water, sludge and bentonite. The agitator and impeller are both chromium iron to minimise clogging and maximise wear resistance when handling abrasive particles in suspension. A double mechanical seal with an oil lifter ensures positive seal lubrication in any operating position, including partial submersion. Available in manual or automatic (pendant float switch) versions.

Construction and Durability

The agitator and impeller are manufactured from chromium iron casting, providing high wear resistance against sand, grit and abrasive particles. The pump casing is FCD700 ductile iron; the motor frame is aluminium die casting; the shaft is SUS403 stainless steel. The double mechanical seal runs in an oil bath with an oil lifting device: the primary seal is silicon carbide on silicon carbide, the secondary is carbon on ceramic. The motor enables long periods of operation whilst partially submerged. Free passage is 10mm. Degree of protection: IP68.
