| Width/mm | Width/ inches | |
| Size 1 | 780 | 30.75 |
| Size 2 | 830 | 32.75 |
| Size 3 | 880 | 34.5 |
| Size 4 | 910 | 35.75 |
| Size 5 | 930 | 36.5 |
| Size 6 | 980 | 38.5 |
Measure for a Floodshield barrier between the brickwork, as shown in measurement A below (overall width of door frame).

Choose the Floodshield size which is nearest to, but not larger than measurement A to allow the barrier to clip to and seal against the outside surface of the doorframe. When the barrier is in place it should overlap onto the doorframe a minimum of 1.5" (38mm) each side.
Floodshield Seal Types
There are two options of seal for the Floodshield barrier. One for standard door frames, and one for uPVC door frames.
The Floodshield for standard door frames seals to the frame and down onto the step, whether concrete, stone or timber.

How the buried sump chamber clears water
Cross-section of a sealed MDPE sump with an automatic submersible pump and arm float switch. Watch one full cycle below.
Water collects
Rainwater or seepage flows in via the gravity inlet and pools at the bottom of the buried chamber.
Float arm rises
As the level climbs, the arm float lifts. At the trigger height it closes the switch contact.
Pump discharges
The Ama-Drainer N 301 powers up, lifting water through the riser and out to the sewer.
Cut-out at low level
The arm drops as water clears. The switch opens and the pump rests until the next cycle.
Water
Foul or surface water collected from the gravity inlet at the side of the chamber.
Pump
Submersible Ama-Drainer N 301, switched by the float arm.
Trigger
Arm float switch closes the circuit at the high-water mark and opens at cut-out.
Chamber
Robust MDPE shell with flanged base to anchor against buoyancy and ground movement.
