Speroni KS1100/PA Seawater Surface Jet Pump
Built for the job
Portable self-priming jet pump built specifically for seawater, with plastic body and 316 stainless shaft.
The KS1100/PA by Speroni Pumps is a portable, self-priming jet pump built specifically for pumping seawater. It has a polypropylene plastic body and a 316 stainless steel shaft, which is the material specification required for sustained contact with salt water.
Most water pumps fail fast in seawater. Chlorides can attack standard 304 stainless and rust out cast iron bodies within months. The KS1100 avoids both problems by using plastic for the pressure-containing parts and 316 stainless (a more corrosion-resistant grade) for the wetted components.
Where the Speroni KS1100 is Used
Marina and harbour operations. Boat washdown and deck cleaning. Aquaculture and marine research. Coastal property seawater supply. Saltwater pool top-up from the sea. Seawater transfer for marine processing.
Design for Portability
The KS1100 is built to be moved. It has a water-resistant rocker switch on top of the pump within easy reach of the operator, a carrying handle, a large base stand for stability on uneven surfaces, and a rubber power cable rated for outdoor use. Setting up and taking down is fast. This is not a permanently-installed pump; it is designed for operators who need to deploy seawater pumping on demand.
Fitted as standard with a carrying handle and a 2 metre rubber power lead.
316 stainless offers good resistance to seawater, but it is not corrosion-proof. Lifespan will depend on site conditions such as salinity, temperature, and exposure. This pump is designed for portable, on-demand use. For permanent installations, we recommend checking suitability first.
