FPS Iguazu Sump 635 Twin Packaged Pump Station

Overview

The FPS Iguazu Sump 635 Twin is a robust, high-performance dual packaged pump station designed to automatically manage groundwater, light grey water, and floodwater. It collects water via a perimeter channel, 110mm pipe connection, or clear opening at the top of the chamber, and can also be drilled to allow groundwater infiltration.

This is the twin, two-pump version of the highly popular FPS Iguazu Sump 635 Single system, offering reliable performance with an additional pump for extra peace of mind.

Dual Pump Reliability

This twin-pump arrangement provides peace of mind and built-in redundancy, if one pump ever fails or requires maintenance, the second automatically takes over.

The system can also be supplied with an optional battery backup, ensuring continued operation during a power outage. (Please note: one battery backup supports one pump; for full dual backup, two systems are required.)

Avoiding Common Sump Pump Mistakes

Here are the five sump pump mistakes we see often, read how to avoid them.

Installation and Operation

The Iguazu Twin is ideal for managing groundwater and light grey water from showers and hand basins, but is not suitable for foul water from W.C. connections.

Manufactured from high-grade MDPE, the Iguazu Twin is delivered as a complete ‘Plug & Play’ system**, preassembled with all internal pipework and twin AMA Drainer 301 Automatic Submersible Water Pumps. Together, these pumps deliver a combined flow rate of 332 litres per minute and a maximum head of 6 metres.

The float arm switches ensure automatic operation, activating the pumps as the water level rises, for smooth, dependable performance with minimal maintenance. The system can be installed internally or externally, depending on site requirements. The arm also reduces the likelihood of the float switch “snagging” and ensures maximum reliability for peace of mind.

From the factory, the ‘on’ level is set at 145mm and the ‘off’ level at 70mm. These can be adjusted up to 375mm and 295mm respectively, allowing the pumps to be configured at different activation heights, one acting as the primary pump, and the other as a secondary backup that activates only when required.

This system can be installed using 32mm rigid pipework and fittings secured with solvent weld, or you can simply add a hose tail to your order and use semi-rigid Suction Delivery hose to discharge water to your chosen location.

Options

For enhanced monitoring and protection, a high-level alarm and battery backup system can be added.

For specialist projects or unique site conditions, we also offer bespoke packaged pump stations tailored to your requirements.

**The system is supplied as a complete ‘Plug & Play’ unit, ready for quick installation. Some on-site work will be required, including reconnecting components, drilling entry holes for cables, and routing wiring through a suitable conduit. Read our blog on Installing a Sump Pump here

    Installing a Sump Pump

Watch below as we install a Packaged Pump Station into a garage floor, to assist with removing any floodwater that may enter.

In this instance, the property was suffering some water ingress into the garage through the walls, and also through a non-FPS Flood barrier.

The Sump Pump was installed into the garage floor to provide a passive solution to remove water from the garage.

In this video, we showcase how a sump pump operates to protect a small patio area surrounded by a low wall and flood barriers. Despite these precautions, rainwater, roof runoff, and groundwater can still lead to pooling.
