APP SV Submersible Sewage Pumps – Robust Wastewater, Dirty Water & Solids Handling Solutions

The APP SV Submersible Sewage Pump range is a reliable and cost-effective solution for pumping wastewater, effluent, and dirty water in domestic, commercial, and hire-fleet environments. Built with cast iron pump casings, recessed vortex impellers, and stainless steel motor frames, the SV range is engineered for dependable performance, low maintenance, and long service life in demanding conditions.

What is the APP SV Submersible Sewage Pump used for?

  • Domestic wastewater and light sewage pumping
  • Dirty water, effluent, and soft solids handling
  • Sumps, cellars, and drainage pits
  • Site water and temporary pumping applications
  • Hire fleet and contractor use

Construct and Durability

The APP SV series is constructed for durability and everyday reliability. Each pump features a heavy-duty cast iron casing combined with a vortex-style impeller to allow solids to pass freely without clogging. Motor frames are manufactured from 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance, while larger models use cast iron components for added strength. High-quality mechanical seals and oil chambers protect the motor, ensuring long-term operation even in harsh wastewater environments.

Why choose the APP SV Submersible Sewage Pumps?

The APP SV range offers an excellent balance of performance, robustness, and value. Designed to handle common wastewater solids without the need for grinders or cutters, these pumps are simple, efficient, and economical to run. With multiple sizes, voltage options, and automatic or manual configurations, the SV series suits a wide range of applications. Their proven reliability also makes them a popular choice for hire fleets and professional users, all backed by a 2-year manufacturer’s guarantee.

What are the Different Types of Float Switches?

Each type of float switch has its advantages and is best suited for specific scenarios. The choice of float switch depends on factors such as the type of liquid, space constraints, required accuracy, and the pump's intended application.

What is the Difference between a Manual & Automatic Water Pump?

Manual Pump - A pump that does not have a float control or pressure switch to start and stop. It will require an operator to control it.

Automatic Pump - A pump that has a float control or pressure switch to start and stop without an operator.

A float switch is a level controller that has a buoyant, water-tight device that lies
on a liquid, actuating a micro-switch when the level rises or falls, turning a pump on or off.

How to Attach a Hose to a Water Pump

Floodandwaterpumps.co.uk has been specially designed to simplify the types of pumps into categories to make choosing the best pump for your requirements easy.
