Divertron 900 Automatic Submersible Well Pump – Built-in Electronics
Built for the job
DAB Divertron 900 Submersible Well Pump | Automatic Multi-Stage Pump for Wells, Tanks and Rainwater Systems
The DAB Divertron 900 is an electronic multi-impeller submersible pump that switches itself on and off automatically as taps and valves open and close.
Built for clean water duties such as irrigation, rainwater harvesting and domestic water supply, it combines the convenience of a pressure pump with the simplicity of a fully submersible unit, with no separate pressure switch, tank or controller to install.
This is the standard 900 model with a mesh suction filter in the base and a maximum head of 45 metres.
What is the Divertron 900 used for?
• Pumping clean water from wells, tanks, cisterns and rainwater stores
• Domestic and garden water supply
• Garden irrigation and sprinkler systems
• Rainwater harvesting and reuse
• Spraying and light agricultural use
For clean water only. Not suitable for dirty, silty or abrasive water, and not intended for ponds or water features.
Construction and durability
The Divertron 900 is built from corrosion-resistant technopolymer with stainless steel internals, including AISI 304 stainless steel impeller components and an AISI 303 stainless steel shaft, plus an anti-debris suction filter in the base. The continuous-duty asynchronous motor is sealed to IP68 with class F insulation, thermal overload protection, an integrated start capacitor and an AISI 416 stainless steel motor shaft. A non-return valve is built into the delivery to hold pressure between operations and allow immediate priming. Efficient cooling lets the pump run even when only partially submerged.
Fully automatic operation
An integrated pressure switch and flow sensor give fully automatic control. When a tap or valve opens and system pressure falls to the cut-in point of around 2.4 bar, the pump starts. When flow stops, it shuts down after a short delay. No external pressure switch or controller is needed, and no manual priming once installed. Built-in dry-run protection shuts the pump off if the water source runs low, protecting the motor. The pump allows up to 20 starts per hour.
Why choose the Divertron 900?
It does away with the separate pressure switch, pressure vessel and controller a traditional booster set needs. The onboard electronics start the pump the moment a tap or sprinkler opens and stop it again when demand ends, so it behaves like a domestic pressure system while living quietly inside the tank or well. That makes it a tidy, low-maintenance choice for homeowners and smallholders running irrigation, rainwater reuse or a whole-house supply from a tank.

- Motor power: 920 W input (P1), 0.75 HP
- Voltage: 230 V single phase, 50 Hz
- Maximum immersion depth: 12 metres
- Maximum number of starts: 20 per hour
- Motor protection: IP68, insulation class F
- Liquid temperature range: 0°C to 35°C
- Maximum pump diameter: 160 mm
- Dimensions: 160 mm diameter × 596 mm tall

Installation
The pump must remain fully submerged, with at least 50 mm of water above it for adequate motor cooling. In a well, suspend it at least 1 metre above the bottom to reduce the risk of drawing in sand and sediment, and support it on rigid pipe securely bracketed at the wellhead rather than by the power cable or handle. For tank installations, the chamber needs a minimum internal diameter of 160 mm to clear the pump body.
