Umbra Pompe Acuasystem 2AL Rainwater Harvesting Pump
Built for the job
Umbra Pompe Acuasystem 2AL | Multi-Stage Rainwater Pump for Tank and Harvesting Systems
Designed for Clean Water Systems and Tank Installations
Unlike the borehole pumps in the well and borehole range, the Acuasystem is designed for tank and rainwater systems, with the ability to run either submerged or externally.
The Acuasystem is a multi-stage pump designed specifically for rainwater harvesting and clean water systems, and can be used either:
- Submerged in a tank or well, or
- Installed externally as a surface pump (dry mounted)
This makes it one of the most flexible pumps in the range.
Where this pump is typically used
The Acuasystem is suited to:
- Rainwater harvesting systems
- Water storage tanks
- Irrigation systems
- Agricultural and processing applications
- Situations where the pump may need to run in wet or damp environments
It is the right choice where you need a clean water system pump, rather than a traditional borehole pump.
Why choose the Acuasystem
- Can be used submerged or surface mounted
- Designed specifically for rainwater systems
- Can draw clean water without pulling debris from the bottom
- Very quiet operation when dry mounted
- Available as manual or automatic (float switch)
- 230V supply
The Acuasystem is available in two versions:
- Manual version runs continuously when powered
- Automatic version uses a pendant float switch to operate based on water level
On manual models, flow can be controlled by including a pressure controller in the delivery line.
Floating suction option
For submersible use, the Acuasystem can be fitted with a floating suction set.
This allows the pump to:
- Draw water from just below the surface
- Avoid sediment and debris at the bottom of the tank
- Deliver cleaner water into the system
This is particularly important for rainwater harvesting systems.
Build and design
The Acuasystem is a multi-stage pump built for clean water environments.
- Stainless steel (304) body and components
- Multi-stage impellers
- Oil-cooled motor
- Integral starting capacitor
- Designed for both wet and dry installation
It is suitable for clean water, including rainwater, and can handle water containing up to 60 g/m³ of suspended solids.
Performance overview
Performance depends on the model selected.
- Flow up to approx. 90 to 130 litres per minute
- Head varies depending on model
- Maximum submersion depth: 17 metres
- Operating temperature: 0°C to 35°C
Head is a measure of pressure. As a guide, 10 metres of head is roughly equal to 1 bar.
Installation
Can be installed in two ways:
Submersible installation
- Inside tanks or wells
- Can be used with floating suction
Surface (dry) installation
- Installed externally
- Suitable for enclosed or damp environments
- Designed to run quietly
The Acuasystem has a 1" outlet (Female BSP). Suitable for hose or pipe connections depending on system design, and can be connected using a 1 inch / 25mm male BSP hose tail.
Important notes
- Designed for clean water, including rainwater
- Can handle small suspended solids (up to 60 g/m³)
- Not suitable for sewage or heavy debris
- Floating suction is recommended for tank use
