APP BCV pumps are supplied ready for immediate installation and operation. All models come with 10 metres of heavy‑duty rubber power cable as standard. For installations requiring guide rails, an optional auto‑coupling kit is available as an upgrade, allowing easy pump removal and maintenance without entering the sump.

Can the APP BCV pump sewage and toilet waste?

Yes. The BCV is a sewage pump for raw sewage including toilet waste, effluent and waste containing fibrous material, submerged debris and solids, at 0 to 40°C, with free passage of 50mm to 80mm depending on model. It is a vortex pump with a wide casing, so solids pass through whole rather than being cut. Keep wipes, sanitary items and rags out of the system. It is not for ponds or water features.

What flow and head does each BCV model give?

Maximum figures per model: BCV400-50, 380 l/min and 7.5m head; BCV750-50, 520 l/min and 10m; BCV750-65, 590 l/min and 6m; BCV1500-50, 700 l/min and 16m; BCV1500-70, 850 l/min and 8m; BCV3700-80, 1500 l/min and 11m. The flow at your site will be lower, because it falls as the vertical lift and pipe length increase.

What outlet and hose size does the BCV use?

It depends on the model. The BCV400-50 and BCV750-50 have a 2-inch BSP female outlet with a 50mm hose tail. The BCV750-65, BCV1500-50, BCV1500-70 and BCV3700-80 have a square flange with a 3-inch BSP female elbow and a 75mm hose tail, both supplied. Match your hose or pipe to that size; 50mm or 75mm layflat suits temporary discharge.

Which BCV models are 230V, 400V three-phase or automatic?

Automatic versions with a pendant float switch are 230V single-phase only: BCV400-50A, BCV750-50A, BCV750-65A and BCV1500-70A. Manual 230V versions cover the 400-50, 750-50, 750-65, 1500-50 and 1500-70, and manual 400V three-phase versions the 750-65, 1500-50 and 1500-70; the BCV3700-80 is 400V only. Manual pumps run whenever powered, so a sump needs separate level control. Float on and off levels are not published.

Can the BCV be fitted on guide rails?

Yes. An auto-coupling kit is available separately so the pump can run on guide rails and be lifted out for maintenance without anyone entering the sump. The parts depend on the model: TOS-50H for the 50mm models, TOS-S3 for the BCV750-65 and BCV1500-50, and the TOS-L3 and TOS-L4 guide rail parts for the BCV1500-70 and BCV3700-80.
