APP DSPK Submersible Cutter Pump – Heavy‑Duty Sewage & Wastewater Solids Shredding Solution

The APP DSPK Submersible Cutter Pump is designed for pumping sewage and wastewater containing solids. It uses a tungsten-tipped impeller to shred fibrous materials, preventing blockages. Ideal for domestic, commercial, and industrial applications, it reliably handles dirty water in sumps, basements, treatment plants, and sewage systems.

Applications

The DSPK (formerly DSK) range of submersible cutter pumps are ideal for heavy duty settings, and breaking down solids in sewage. This is useful when solids restrict the free movement of liquid.

These pumps have a two-year manufacturer’s guarantee and are suitable for domestic or industrial use, including in basements and in waste tanks.

Construction and Build Quality

The DSPK Sewage pumps are constructed in cast iron and 304 stainless steel, fitted with a tungsten carbide tipped single channel, cast iron impeller which rotates against a serrated suction cover. The 410 stainless steel shaft is fitted with a mechanical seal and oil seal, in an oil chamber for excellent wear resistance.

Single phase models are available with or without a float switch.

Key Features

High-Efficiency Solids Cutting: The defining feature of the DSPK series is its cutter impeller system. By chopping up solids at the intake, the pump can reliably move sewage laden with wipes, sanitary products, or fibrous matter without clogging.
Heavy-Duty Build for Sewage Applications: These pumps are engineered for demanding environments. The cast iron pump body and impeller provide the strength and durability needed for abrasive or corrosive sewage and waste water.
Wide Performance Range: Whether you need to empty a small septic sump or pump from an industrial waste pit, there’s a DSPK model to match.
Flexible Installation Options: The DSPK pumps are designed with installation flexibility in mind. Free-standing installation is straightforward – the pump has a stable base and an ergonomic handle, so it can be placed at the bottom of a tank or pit and easily retrieved by the handle or an attached chain. For more permanent setups, an auto-coupling guide rail kit can be used (available for all sizes). The guide rail system includes a dock at the sump bottom and twin guide pipes; the pump slides down to automatically connect to the outlet elbow. This allows easy removal for inspection by simply pulling the pump up the rails

01

Water collects

Rainwater or seepage flows in via the gravity inlet and pools at the bottom of the buried chamber.

02

Float arm rises

As the level climbs, the arm float lifts. At the trigger height it closes the switch contact.

03

Pump discharges

The Ama-Drainer N 301 powers up, lifting water through the riser and out to the sewer.

04

Cut-out at low level

The arm drops as water clears. The switch opens and the pump rests until the next cycle.

Water

Foul or surface water collected from the gravity inlet at the side of the chamber.

Pump

Submersible Ama-Drainer N 301, switched by the float arm.

Trigger

Arm float switch closes the circuit at the high-water mark and opens at cut-out.

Chamber

Robust MDPE shell with flanged base to anchor against buoyancy and ground movement.
