The APP DSPK Submersible Cutter Pump is designed for pumping sewage and wastewater containing solids. It uses a tungsten-tipped impeller to cut destructible solids and fibrous materials, reducing the risk of blockages. Ideal for domestic, commercial, and industrial applications, it reliably handles dirty water in sumps, basements, treatment plants, and sewage systems.

Applications

The DSPK (formerly DSK) range of submersible cutter pumps are ideal for heavy duty settings, and breaking down solids in sewage. This is useful when solids restrict the free movement of liquid.

These pumps have a two-year manufacturer’s guarantee and are suitable for domestic or industrial use, including in basements and in waste tanks.

Construction and Build Quality

The DSPK Sewage pumps are constructed in cast iron and 304 stainless steel, fitted with a tungsten carbide tipped single channel, cast iron impeller which rotates against a serrated suction cover. The 410 stainless steel shaft is fitted with a mechanical seal and oil seal, in an oil chamber for excellent wear resistance.

Single phase models are available with or without a float switch.

By cutting destructible solids at the intake, the pump can move sewage containing soft solids and fibrous matter through smaller pipework. Wipes, sanitary products and rags should still be kept out of the system.

Flexible Installation Options: The DSPK pumps are designed with installation flexibility in mind. Free-standing installation is straightforward – the pump has a stable base and an ergonomic handle, so it can be placed at the bottom of a tank or pit and easily retrieved by the handle or an attached chain. For more permanent setups, an auto-coupling guide rail kit can be used (available for all sizes). The guide rail system includes a dock at the sump bottom and twin guide pipes; the pump slides down to automatically connect to the outlet elbow. This allows easy removal for inspection by simply pulling the pump up the rails

Can the APP DSPK pump sewage with toilet waste and wipes?

Yes, the DSPK is a cutter pump for sewage including toilet waste, at 0 to 40°C. Its tungsten-tipped impeller turns against a serrated suction cover to cut destructible solids before pumping, so they can pass through smaller pipework or be pumped over a short or medium distance. Free passage is 20mm (DSPK-10) or 40mm (DSPK-20 and DSPK-30). Keep wipes and sanitary items out of drains where you can.

What flow and head does the DSPK give?

Maximum figures: DSPK-10 (0.75kW), about 430 litres per minute and 13m head; DSPK-20 (1.5kW), about 800 l/min and 18m; DSPK-30 (2.2kW), 1200 l/min and 20m. The range is designed for pumping over a short or medium distance. Real flow falls as the lift and pipe length increase, so choose a model with head to spare.

What outlet size does the DSPK have?

The DSPK-10 has a 50mm outlet, the DSPK-20 a 75mm outlet and the DSPK-30 a 4-inch outlet. The DSPK-10 and DSPK-20 come with a hose tail; the DSPK-30 does not. Size your hose or pipe to match the outlet.

Which DSPK models are 230V, 400V or automatic?

This listing offers the DSPK-10 as 230V manual or 230V automatic, the DSPK-20 as 230V manual, 230V automatic or 400V three-phase manual, and the DSPK-30 as 400V three-phase manual only. Automatic versions have a pendant float switch and are single-phase only. The float switch on and off levels are not published for this range.

Can the DSPK be fitted on guide rails?

Yes. It is supplied free-standing with a stable base and handle, and an optional auto-coupling set lets it run on guide rails. The pump then slides down twin guide pipes onto a dock that connects it to the outlet, and can be pulled up for inspection. The parts are TOS-SGH for the DSPK-10 and the TOS-L3 and TOS-L4 guide rail parts for the DSPK-20 and DSPK-30.
