The Tsurumi 80SFQ is a submersible pump with all wetted parts in 316 grade cast stainless steel, built for industrial pumping of aggressive liquids including seawater, saline solutions, strong chemicals and marine process liquids. 316 stainless steel is widely used in marine applications for its corrosion resistance; Viton elastomers and a double mechanical silicon carbide seal running in turbine oil provide additional protection for the motor. Available in 1.5kW and 3.7kW, both 400V three-phase.

Construction and Durability

All wetted components, including the impeller, pump casing, suction cover, motor frame and bottom plate, are cast from 316 grade stainless steel (SCS14). The shaft is SUS316 stainless. Elastomers are Viton throughout. The double mechanical seal is silicon carbide on silicon carbide (both primary and secondary), running in a turbine oil bath with an oil lifting device for additional lubrication. The open-type impeller handles solids up to 6mm (1.5kW model) and 15mm (3.7kW model). The pump is supplied with 10 metres of heavy-duty H07RN-F neoprene rubber cable. Degree of protection: IP68; maximum submersion depth 15 metres.

The 80SFQ is specified where corrosion from aggressive liquids would destroy a standard cast iron or stainless steel pump. The all-316 wetted construction, Viton elastomers and full SiC double mechanical seal make it one of the most chemically resistant submersible pumps available at this size. Note: 316 stainless steel offers strong corrosion resistance in many aggressive liquid applications, but resistance in seawater varies with chloride concentration, temperature and aeration.
