The Viscomat is a self-priming rotary vane pump for transferring engine oils, gear oils and lubricants from SAE 10W up to SAE 140, or up to 500 centistokes. It is built for workshop, industrial and on-site oil transfer. It is not a water pump and must not be used for diesel, petrol, water, chemicals, solvents or any low flash point liquid.

Construction and durability
The Viscomat has a cast iron pump body with a steel rotor and acetal resin sliding vanes, driven by an IP55 motor in a cast aluminium frame. An adjustable bypass valve is built into the pump, so it is protected for up to 2 minutes if the delivery is closed off, for example when a nozzle is shut.
Why choose the Viscomat?
A rotary vane pump is the right tool for viscous fluids. Unlike a centrifugal pump, it keeps drawing on thick oils, and the oil itself lubricates the pump as it runs. The built-in bypass valve means a delivery nozzle can be closed for a moment without damaging the pump.

Performance is based on 80W oil at 20°C, with no foot valve and a 2 m x 25 mm (1 inch) suction hose. Flow changes with the viscosity and temperature of the oil: thicker or colder oil pumps more slowly.
