Viscomat Oil & Lubricant Transfer Pump | Viscous Fluids
Built for the job
Viscomat Oil and Lubricant Transfer Pump | Self Priming Vane Pump for Oils up to SAE 140
Built to order. Please allow approximately 20–25 days for delivery.
The Viscomat is a self priming rotary vane pump built specifically for transferring engine oils, gear oils and lubricants up to SAE 140 and viscosities of 500 cSt. It is purpose built for workshop, industrial and on site oil transfer where a robust, continuous duty pump is needed. The Viscomat is not a water pump and must not be used for water, fuel, solvents or any low flash point fluid.
What is the Viscomat pump used for?
• Transferring engine, gear and hydraulic oils
• Workshop oil changes and lubricant top ups
• Bulk transfer from drums and IBC tanks
• Industrial gearbox servicing
• Agricultural and plant maintenance
• Mobile maintenance and utilities servicing
Construction and Durability
The Viscomat uses a sliding rotary vane design housed in a cast iron pump body with a sintered steel rotor and resin vanes. The motor is an asynchronous, closed, self-ventilating AC unit available in single or three phase, with noise levels below 70 dB for comfortable use in workshop environments. An adjustable bypass valve is built into the pump body so it can handle short periods of closed delivery operation without damage, and the mechanical seal on the motor shaft is accessible from the pump side for straightforward servicing. With elevated suction capability and pressures up to 6 bar, it is built to deliver hour after hour of continuous oil transfer.
Why choose the Viscomat?
A rotary vane pump is the right tool for viscous fluids. Unlike a centrifugal pump, the Viscomat does not cavitate on thick oils, and the oil itself lubricates the pump as it runs, keeping internal temperatures low and extending service life. The built in bypass valve means the operator does not need to worry if the delivery nozzle is closed for a moment or two. Made in Italy by Piusi, a brand recognised across the oil and lubricant industry, the Viscomat keeps moving fluid reliably where a centrifugal or low cost gear pump would struggle.
