Built for the job

Semisom 262 Dirty Water Submersible Pump: Compact 0.55kW Drainage Pump with 32mm Solids Handling

The BBC Semisom 262 is a compact, professional grade submersible pump built for dirty water and light sewage duties where space is tight but reliability cannot be compromised. With a 0.55kW coolant filled motor, flows up to 425 litres per minute and a double channel impeller that passes solids up to 32mm, it is a dependable workhorse for sump pits, flooded cellars and everyday site drainage. Available in 110V, 230V and 400V versions, in manual or automatic float switch operation.

What is the Semisom 262 pump used for?

The Semisom 262 suits smaller chambers and lighter continuous duties where a full size wastewater pump would be oversized. Typical applications include:

        Emptying flooded cellars and basements

Domestic and light commercial sump pits

Light sewage and grey water transfer

Groundwater control in small excavations and trenches

Drainage on smaller construction and landscaping projects

Backup pumping in basement waterproofing systems

Its 19.1kg weight and slim 250mm footprint make it easy to lower into confined sumps and move between jobs.

Construct and Durability

The Semisom 262 pairs cast iron hydraulic components with stainless steel motor parts, giving it the impact resistance of a site pump and the corrosion protection needed for permanent installation in wet chambers. The motor is coolant filled, so heat is dissipated efficiently even during extended running at low water levels, and the silicon carbide mechanical seal protects the motor from abrasive dirty water far longer than standard carbon seals. The double channel impeller resists ragging and blockage from fibrous debris, keeping maintenance visits to a minimum.

Why choose the Semisom 262?

Choose the Semisom 262 when you need genuine 32mm solids handling in a pump small enough for domestic sumps and tight chambers. Many pumps in this size class are clean water designs dressed up for drainage work; the 262 is a true dirty water pump with commercial grade seals, impeller and motor cooling. The choice of 110V, 230V and 400V supplies makes it equally at home on construction sites, in hire fleets and in permanent household installations, and the automatic float switch versions provide unattended protection against flooding.
