FPS Iguazu Sump FEKA Stainless Steel Packaged Pump Station

The FPS Iguazu Sump FEKA is our premium foul water station, pairing a 190 litre high-grade MDPE chamber with a stainless steel FEKA VS 750 submersible sewage pump.

It has a maximum flow rate of 400 litres per minute and a maximum rated head of 7.5 metres, with 50mm free passage. The reason to choose it over the cast iron models is durability: an AISI 304 stainless body with an AISI 316 motor shaft resists corrosion, which matters in harsher effluent and in systems that sit unused between uses.

What it is for

  • Collecting foul water from W.C.s and utility rooms below sewer level

  • Installations used intermittently, where a cast iron pump is more likely to seize

If you need more output and the environment is not harsh, the Sump Foul Pro gives 480 L/min to 11m. For a standard domestic foul duty, the Sump Foul is the value option.

Why the stainless pump

  • Stainless construction: AISI 304 stainless throughout with a tougher AISI 316 motor shaft.
  • Anti-clog vortex impeller: microcast steel, passes solids up to 50mm.
  • Double mechanical seal: non-toxic oil chamber between the seals protects the motor.
  • Quiet, efficient motor: cooled by the pumped liquid, on long-life low-noise ball bearings.
  • Automatic operation: 230V single-phase, 10m power cable and float switch included.
  • Maximum liquid temperature 35°C, maximum 20 starts per hour, rated for continuous submerged duty.

This station is supplied as 230V single-phase.

Flow rate and head

The FEKA VS750 has a maximum flow rate of 400 litres per minute and a maximum rated head of 7.5 metres.

These are the two ends of the pump curve rather than a single duty point: at 7.5 metres the flow has fallen to zero, and the full 400 litres per minute is only available with no lift at all. What you actually get sits between the two, where the curve meets the resistance of your pipework. The chamber

  • Robust high-grade MDPE chamber with a flanged base, 190 litre storage capacity
  • 610mm diameter x 635mm high
  • One or two 110mm inlets, drilled on site
  • 2 inch internal pipework, pre-installed, with non-return valve and quick-release coupling
  • Chamber outlet terminates in a 2 inch male BSP thread
  • 450mm pedestrian rated cover and frame
  • 1 year warranty

Installation and discharge

Can be installed internally or externally. Depending on the desired installation, these chambers are often connected with fixed PVC delivery pipe, or with suction and delivery hose, matched to the outlet size. 

Supplied as a complete plug and play unit, ready for installation. Some on-site work is required, including reconnecting components, drilling entry holes for cables and routing wiring through a suitable conduit. Read our guide to installing a sump pump.

Options

  • Recessed cover, sealed and locking: recommended for internal use and for any foul installation. Factory fitted single neoprene seal.

Pump station design and installation is site specific. You should always consult a suitably qualified engineer to determine the correct configuration and installation method for your application, and a qualified electrician for the electrical connection.

Installing or altering foul drainage in England falls under Building Regulations, and Approved Document H is the guidance used to demonstrate compliance, including sizing the chamber around the number of people served.
