The MVH-10 is an automatic submersible pump designed for clean water use in tanks, water butts and irrigation systems, including rainwater.
The MVH-10 operates via a float switch, so it runs based on water level rather than demand. It will run while submerged and switch off automatically if the level drops.
The pump can be powered on or off at the plug, but operation is still controlled by the float switch.
If you’re looking to run a garden irrigation system or sprinklers, this is typically a suitable option where water is being discharged freely.

How it operates
The MVH-10 is not pressure controlled.
- It does not start and stop when a tap is opened or closed
- It runs when submerged and switches off when water level drops
If you need a pump that responds to taps or hose triggers, a pressure-controlled pump such as the Divertron would be more suitable.
Build and design
The MVH-10 is built using corrosion-resistant and hard-wearing materials for long service life.
Key construction features include:
- 304 stainless steel motor housing, strainer and reinforced outlet
- 410 stainless steel shaft
- Silicon carbide mechanical seal in a chamber of non-toxic oil
- Heavy-duty bearings for reliable operation
The casing, head cover, base plate and impellers are manufactured from thermoplastic to provide strength while keeping the pump lightweight.
The pump includes an integral starting capacitor and is supplied with a 10 metre heavy-duty power cable.
The outlet is horizontal as standard.
For vertical discharge, a nipple and female BSP elbow hose tail can be added.

Designed to sit within a tank or water butt and operate automatically based on water level.
Suitable for clean water such as rainwater and stored water.
Not suitable for sewage or heavily contaminated water.

- Designed for clean water only (not sewage)
- Not suitable for ponds or water features
- Not recommended for operation against a closed valve or nozzle
