EVAK Agivort Submersible Slurry Pumps | Agitator and Vortex Impeller

The EVAK Agivort is a heavy duty submersible slurry pump built for the water other pumps cannot handle: sludge, slurry and heavily sediment laden water on construction sites, in utilities, civils and hire fleets. The name says how it works. It pairs an agitator with a vortex impeller, which is the combination that makes it a true slurry pump rather than a general dewatering pump.

How the agitator and vortex impeller work together

Solids in slurry settle and pack down at the bottom of a sump or excavation, where a standard pump simply pumps the clear water off the top and leaves the sludge behind. The Agivort's 316 stainless steel agitator stirs that settled material back into suspension, and the vortex impeller then passes it through the pump without clogging. The result is a pump that keeps shifting solids long after a clean water pump would have stalled.

Construction and durability

The Agivort is primarily FC200 cast iron with a heavy grade 304 stainless steel motor housing and the 316 stainless steel agitator. Sealing is by a double mechanical seal running in an oil chamber, with an upper carbon and ceramic (Ca/Ce) seal and a lower silicon carbide on silicon carbide (SiC/SiC) seal, the hard wearing arrangement needed for abrasive slurry duty. Each pump ships with a 10 metre heavy duty power cable and a hose tail.

The range: four models

There are four models in the range, the 5.05, 5.10, 5.20 and 5.50, with motor sizes from 0.37kW up to 3.7kW and 2 inch, 3 inch and 4 inch discharge options. Across the range the Agivort delivers heads up to 26m and flows up to 1000 litres per minute. Smaller models run on 230V single phase (automatic), while the larger models are 400V three phase. Agivort, Trenchman or Drainox?

All three are EVAK contractor pumps. Choose the Agivort for genuine slurry and sludge, where the agitator and vortex impeller are needed to keep heavy solids moving. Choose the Trenchman for automatic trench dewatering of silty site water, and the Drainox for stainless steel vortex dewatering without an agitator.
