WHY IT WORKS

Built for the job

Join two lengths of pump hose in seconds, no tools needed

A matched Part C and Part E cam coupling set for 25mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm hose.

Quickly connect and disconnect two lengths of pump hose without tools. This complete cam coupling set includes a Part C female coupling and a Part E male adaptor, creating a secure quick-release connection between two hoses.

Fit the Part C to the end of one hose and the Part E to the start of the next. Push them together, flip both arms down, and the hoses are joined. Lift the arms and they come apart just as quickly, so a long discharge run can be built, extended or split down in the time it takes to walk the hose.

  • Extend a pump discharge hose with another length
  • Quickly split down long hose runs for storage or transport
  • Swap between different lengths of hose
  • Ideal for flood pumps, site pumps and dewatering
  • Available in 1 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch and 4 inch hose sizes (25mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm)

Browse our flood control range, engine driven site pumps and ready-to-go pump kits.

How does the set work?

One female half, one male half, one hose on each.

The Part C is the female socket. It carries the two hinged cam arms and the sealing gasket. The Part E is the grooved male spigot that pushes into it. Both have a barbed hose tail on the back, so each one clamps permanently onto a hose end.

Buying them together means both halves arrive in the same size, ready to fit. Once every hose in your kit carries a Part E at one end and a Part C at the other, any length will click onto any other.

At a glance

  • Complete hose-to-hose joint: 1 × Part C female coupling and 1 × Part E male adaptor in the size you choose
  • No tools: connect and disconnect by hand with two flip-down cam arms
  • No threads: nothing to cross-thread, seize or wrap in PTFE tape
  • Four sizes: 25mm (1 inch), 50mm (2 inch), 75mm (3 inch) and 100mm (4 inch)
  • Suits common pump hose: rigid suction and delivery hose, layflat discharge hose and braided hose of the same bore
  • Compatible with the rest of our cam range: the Part C also accepts a Part A, and the Part E also fits a Part D, so the set works with a pump fitted either way

What's included

  • 1 × Part C cam coupling with hose tail (female)
  • 1 × Part E cam adaptor with hose tail (male)

Both parts are supplied in the size selected. Hose and clamps are sold separately: use hose clips on 25mm and 50mm, or hose clamps on 75mm and 100mm. You will need one per hose tail, so two per set.

Which size do I need?

Match the set to the internal bore of your hose, not to the pump outlet. A 50mm set fits 50mm (2 inch) hose. Both hoses being joined need to be the same size, so if your pump has a 50mm outlet but runs into 75mm layflat further down the line, choose the set that matches the hose at the joint.

Connecting a hose to a pump?

Use a threaded cam fitting on the pump outlet.

This set joins hose to hose. To put a quick-release connection on the pump itself, screw a Part A (male cam, female BSP) onto the outlet and it will accept the Part C on your hose. If you prefer the male half on the hose, use a Part D (female cam, female BSP) on the pump and it will accept the Part E.

Pick one arrangement and keep to it across every hose you own, so that every hose fits every pump.

Fitting the set

Push each tail fully into its hose so every barb sits inside the bore. Warm water on the hose end helps with a tight fit.

Clamp both tails. A hose tail is held by the clamp, so fit one over the barbed section on each hose and tighten it down.

Check the gasket and the spigot. The gasket in the Part C seals against the smooth face of the Part E. Keep both clean, as grit on either face is the usual cause of a weeping joint.

Both arms down, every time. New arms can feel stiff at first and loosen with use. Close both fully before starting the pump.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as a camlock?

Yes. Cam couplings are widely called camlocks, cam and groove fittings or quick-release hose couplings. This set is a Part C and a Part E, the standard pair for joining one hose to another.

How many sets do I need?

One set per joint. To join three lengths of hose into one run, you need two sets.

Can I join two different hose sizes?

Both halves of the set are the same size, so it joins hoses of the same bore. Choose the size that matches the hose at that joint.

Will it fit my existing cam fittings?

The Part C accepts any Part A or Part E of the same size from our range, and the Part E fits any Part C or Part D of the same size.

Can I use it on permanent pipework?

Cam couplings are made for connections you expect to undo, so they suit temporary pumping and hose runs that are set up and taken down. For buried, concealed or pressurised mains pipework, use a permanent threaded or welded joint.

Do I need to replace the gasket?

Check it before each use. If it is cut, flattened or missing, the joint will weep.
