The story behind the company
Flood and Water Pumps was founded by Civil Engineer and Chartered Water and Environmental Manager Simon Crowther, known across the UK flood sector for his practical experience and hands-on approach to flood resilience. After years of designing and delivering flood protection systems, and seeing first-hand the consequences when pumps failed or were not available, Simon recognised that the market required a dependable and reliable water pump supplier, backed by specialist knowledge, with stock held in the UK for next day delivery.
Simon explains: "Having witnessed flooding first hand on many occasions, it concerned me how many individuals and businesses had the wrong type of water pump, that would not work as intended. I have made it my mission not just to raise awareness of flood risk, but as a result, to help ensure that the right equipment and the right advice are not just available, but easily accessible too. Inside the Nottingham warehouse
Flood and Water Pumps operates from a dedicated UK warehouse, located in Nottingham, where products are stocked, quality-checked and dispatched. We have helped more than 20,000 customers find the right pump for their property or project.
If you visit during the day, you will usually see pumps being checked, hoses prepared and boxes being packed for next-day delivery across the UK. Products are shipped using a next working day service and the team aim to dispatch orders placed before 2pm the same working day.
Ten years, and the name that fit
By our tenth year we had grown from bringing a single flood barrier into the UK to supplying the full breadth of water pumps nationwide, held in stock at our Nottinghamshire warehouse for next working day delivery. Registering "Pump Guys" was not a marketing slogan for its own sake. It was a marker of what we had become and a commitment to keep earning it: the pumps chosen by people who know pumps.
